Dokuz Eylül University The Office of Career Planning and Alumni Relations (Kariyer Planlama ve Mezunlarla İlişkiler Koordinatörlüğü- KPMI) is a unit affiliated to the Rectorate of our university that works to prepare students for business life in the best possible way, to establish links between students and graduates and representatives of the business world, and to provide guidance services to students and graduates in accordance with their goals. KPMI was established in order to ensure the institutional adaptation and commitment of all our students who are entitled to study at our university, to support them in discovering their own potential and career orientation, to assist them in defining their professional goals, to prepare our students, who constitute our qualified human resources potential, in the best way possible for working life in line with the conditions of the country and today’s realities, and to increase the employability of our graduates.

Objectives:
– To ensure the institutional cohesion and commitment of our students from the moment of enrolment,
– To support them in preparing for working life in the best way,
– To introduce our qualified human resources potential to the business world and to strengthen cooperation with private and public institutions,
– To increase the employability of our students and graduates.
Targets:
– To strengthen the link between the university, students and the business world through career counselling services, personal development trainings and support for career day organisations,
– To ensure coordination between internal (student communities, academic units, administrative units, etc.) and external (other universities, chambers, non-governmental organisations, etc.) stakeholders towards the objectives,
– To help our students adapt to university life as quickly as possible through orientation activities,
– To organise trainings, seminars, conferences and meetings to support the personal development of our students as well as their academic skills,
– To develop communication and co-operation with alumni by maintaining the ‘Dokuz Eylülness Bond’ established during their student years,
– To contribute to strengthening the reputation of our university with the qualified labour force we bring to the business world, cooperation and relations established with graduates.
Our Coordination Office, which is the career center responsible for coordinating all the activities of the Human Resources Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye for our students and alumni, is also responsible for coordinating the activities of our alumni and the Alumni Information System (Mezun Bilgi Sistemi – MBS) in order to shape the future vision of our university together with our alumni, to continue the communication and cooperation we have established, to ensure the continuity of our interaction and to strengthen our alumni network. KPMI, which also carries out the organisation of the Alumni Card application, is in direct communication with our alumni.
